The Aspen Acres Fire is reported at 99,820 acres with 36% containment as of 7:00 AM 7/16/26.
The latest estimate showed roughly 155 structures in Pueblo & Custer County have been lost.
SOME EVACUATIONS HAVE BEEN LIFTED
The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office is lifting the evacuation order for residents in the 3R Road, Signal Mountain, Colorado City, Lake Beckwith to Crow Cutoff and locations east of Hwy 165 to Ray Blvd. Residents in this area must have a re-entry card to re-enter. These areas will still re main on pre-evacuation status, so residents must be prepared to leave if conditions change. all others areas remain under evacuation at this time.
The Pueblo County Sheriff’s office has a map of areas allowed back into their homes.

Burnt Mill Road, this includes west Hatchett Ranch, Burnt Mill Road
RED CREEK AREA FROM SILOAM ROAD EAST TO THE AREA OF RED CREEK SPRINGS ROAD WEST AND HIGHWAY 96 WEST.

Red Creek Ranch area north of Highway 78, south of Highway 96, and west of Siloam Road.
Areas south of Highway 96 including Highway 165 south to the Pueblo County line.

Disaster Assistance Center:
A Disaster Assistance Center is open at the Pueblo Academy of Arts (formerly Pitts Middle School), 29 Lehigh Ave, Pueblo, CO 81005, for Pueblo County and Custer County residents who have been evacuated or impacted by the Aspen Acres Fire.
The Disaster Assistance Center (DAC) is a one-stop resource center set up to assist survivors with the recovery process.
EVACUATION Large Animals:
Colorado State Fairgrounds. Enter on Gate 6 on Small Ave.
Anyone with livestock may park their RV’s at the Colorado State Fairgrounds. Check-in will be required at Gate 7.
Animal Pickup Information: If your property has reopened and it is safe to return, please pick up your animals as soon as possible during the designated release hours.
