Jeffery Hartbauer

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jeffery Hartbauer, who was born in Columbus, Ohio on December 5, 1956, and passed away on December 3, 2024, in Pueblo, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his mom, Claudette Hartbauer; his father, Stanley Hartbauer; and in-laws, Robert and Norma Ferguson. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Susan Hartbauer; his kids, Tim Hartbauer ( Sophia Goodspeed), Tiffany (Josh) Thompson, Zachery Hartbauer; his sisters, Julie Dibrell (Branston Dibrell), Lisa Ripke (William Ripke); brother in-law, Doug Ferguson ( Sandy Ferguson); sisters in-law, Debbie Genova, Judi Ferguson, Julie Stalcar (Scott Stalcar); and grandkids, Hunter, Summer, Cooper Hartbauer and Walker Thompson; and many other nephews, nieces, cousins, uncles and aunts.

Jeffery was a beloved son, brother, husband, and friend. He was known for his kind heart, quick wit, and infectious laughter. Jeffery had a passion for life and always lived it to the fullest.

Jeffery grew up in Pueblo, Colorado, where he attended Centennial High School and later went on to study at the Southern Colorado University. He served the community of Colorado and dedicated over 30 years of service to the Pueblo Sheriff Office and the Colorado Department of Corrections.
Outside of work, Jeffery was known for his love of his family; to his wife, Susan Hartbauer; and his three children, Timothy, Tiffany and Zachary; along with his four grandchildren, Hunter, Walker, Summer and Cooper.

Jeffery had many passions but had a great love for sports; specifically Colorado’s home baseball team the Colorado Rockies. He continued his love for baseball by inspiring many young athletes by coaching youth baseball for many years.

So we honor and remember Jeff today by attiring the Colorado Rockies colors.

Jeffery will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His warm smile, generous spirit, and unwavering love for his family and friends will forever be remembered.

May Jeffery Hartbauer rest in peace, knowing that he was loved by so many and made a positive impact on the world around him.
