Please say hello to our pets of the month!
For January we are featuring two very adored bonded cats at PAWS, Shug, and Big Pappa.

“Meet Shug and Big Poppa, inseparable companions who are eagerly waiting to become part of your family. Unfortunately, they’ve often been overlooked, mainly because Shug is FIV Positive. It’s disheartening that there’s a lot of unnecessary fear surrounding cats with FIV. FIV stands for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, a lentivirus that progresses slowly, gradually affecting a cat’s immune system. It’s primarily transmitted through blood transfusions and serious, penetrating bite wounds, and it’s crucial to note that you cannot contract FIV from a cat. Shug would thrive in a home without other cats (except, of course, his best buddy Big Poppa) and in an environment with minimal stress. Together, they deserve a comfortable and loving home. They’ve spent too long in the shelter, and it’s clear that the shelter life isn’t ideal for cats with immune deficiency issues. Join us in giving these remarkable cats the chance to experience the warmth of a loving home.”
