National Frankenstein Friday

Today is National Frankenstein Friday.  On the last Friday in October, it recognizes author Mary Shelley, the novel “Frankenstein”, and her characters, Dr. Frankenstein and the monster.  Dating back to the 1800s, Frankenstein’s monster is one of the best-known horror characters of all time.  That’s right, the monster is not called Frankenstein.  So if you’re going to a party as Frankenstein, it better be as the doctor.

There is also a Frankenstein Day on August 30th that celebrates Shelley’s birthday.  Just in case you thought you were having déjà vu.
