It’s National Pickleball Day

Happy National Pickleball Day! (Here’s a quick song parody to the tune of “Kokomo”.)

Pickleball Fast Facts:

You play with paddles, not racquets. Good ones cost more than $150.

The courts are smaller than tennis courts. There’s a “no volley zone”, the NVZ, otherwise known as “the kitchen”. Stay out of the kitchen if you can’t stand the heat!

Hitting lightly over the net into the kitchen is called dinking.

One of the odd rules is that the first server of the game, is the SECOND server. So the beginning score is zero-zero-TWO.

Finally, it looks easy, but is very challenging. It’s also a lot of fun.
