For the first time ever, 3 Country songs are on Billboard’s Hot 100 list

Music history is being made this week. For the first time ever, Billboard’s Hot 100 is topped by three country songs. Here they are.

“Last Night” by Morgan Wallen

“Fast Car” by Luke Combs

“Try That in a Small Town” by Jason Aldean

However, the song by Jason Aldean with an asterisk, due to it being rooted in controversy.

The song sparked controversy when the music video was released in July, as social media users pointed out the contentious imagery throughout. Additionally, it was reportedly filmed at the site of a lynching.
